Hello, welcome to Heart Waves
Heart Waves begins with counselling (being heard, understood & validated) and continues with exploring ways to re-connect to your Self and with your Bigger Picture. That Bigger Picture can be many things, and most often revolves around a spiritual exploration of questions like “Who am I & Why am I here?” Chances are you already have the answers within you and it’s a matter of teasing them out with conversation and learning to trust your inner guides.
Being in the right place and right state of mind to do a deep dive into spirit is a wonderful thing, and right now that can be challenging with what’s going on in our community, country and the wider world. This is where “standard” counselling can be helpful, to help you unpack what’s going on and make sense of what life has got you thinking and feeling.
With Heart Waves counselling, rather than sticking to rigid models of therapy, I take from different approaches what is going to be useful and helpful in the moment, for each unique human being I’m having a conversation with. Added into this mix are elements of newer approaches and everything is underpinned by the desire to help get to a place where we are equipped to move forward and prosper in this covid-normal world. From there, we can head towards a greater understanding of who we are and why we’re here.
ABOUT ME
After moving to Queensland ten years ago, following a change in career direction, I have found that being a counsellor is far more personally rewarding and fulfilling than my old job ever was!
From living in Logan to where I’m at now on the Gold Coast, I’ve seen a lot of the South East of this great state and have no regrets about moving, especially during Winter!
I’m now part of a blended family along with a cat and a dog, and a desire to help people get closer to being who they want to be. I know how much it helps to be able talk through what’s blocking you and uncover new ways to get to calmer waters.
Life is challenging, especially right now, and just as people have helped me in my life’s journey, I want to be of service to others that are looking for a more spiritual direction in their life journey.
